To date, Leslie has no book awards—though she remains humbly hopeful. However, on her journey to publication she did chalk up a few of these:

• 2006 First Place—SCBWI Southern Breeze Writing Contest (Fictional Illustrated books)

• 2007 First Place— SCBWI Southern Breeze Writing Contest (Fictional Illustrated books)
